Woodworking is one of the most rewarding skills you can possess. You can build furniture or a house, a boat or a cabin, the potential is limitless. In this day and age of technology, achieving desired results with the help of power tools is more realistic than ever before. That said, the power tools can be hazardous if misused. As an intern at Nafees Creations, Pearland, TX, you will learn the proper and safe way of using power tools.

First thing first, you will not have to pay anything for the training you receive as an intern.

You will learn to sketch your ideas on paper and draw a 3-d model on the computer. You will test the integrity and strength of your design. No point in wasting time and wood on something that won’t hold up, right? Next, you will dress up your model on the screen in different kinds of wood stains or colors to see how it looks. Once you are very sure that you have given the precise shape to your vision only then you can head out to the workshop.

You will learn to work with different types of wood and their general application. You will put some elbow grease into finishing. Get to work with shellac, polyacrylic, polyurethane, and many more types of top coats. You will learn how to replicate missing or repair broken pieces.

You will make CAD sketches of your piece and then cut it to extreme precision on state-of-art CNC machines. You will learn how to read and interpret CODES.
